Dr. Haile's Memorial Foundation

Preamble:

Dr. Haile was recognized through the Ethiopian community around the world for his commitment toward the spreading of the Gospel as minister for the past thirty years. The good memories of his exemplary life will continue to ring in the minds of many for years to come.


One who wishes to make such an enduring contribution in the sacred mission of spreading the Gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ should solemnly deliberate the value of his / her contribution far beyond the contemporaneous.In recognition of this fact,the Ethiopian Christian fellowship of Los Angeles has established a memorial fund in honor Dr. Haile Wolde Michael to continue his legacy ,and to fulfill his mission.


Mission Statement:

"I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus"Phil. 3:12 . Dr .Haile extensive effort and time-proved commitment toward the enhancement of the Christian Mission and the work that he has started deserve to be maintained . It's therefore ,the mission of this project to continue this legacy which will consist of reaching the unreached ,nurturing churches and providing training to the people of God both in Ethiopia and beyond in a nondenominational fashion.


Objective/Goal:

-Solicit and collect contribution toward this mission
-Identify' evaluate and fund ongoing programs that have goals consistent with the mission     of this fund
-Identify and/or establish new programs and provide funding


Structure/Administration:

While Ethiopian Christian Fellowship will be legally mandated to make final determination on the overall operation of this fund ,it wishes to work closely with the evangelical Churches Association of Ethiopia located in Addis Ababa ,Ethiopia for the following reasons:


1.   To take advantage of the dedicated expertise of the ECAE staff as to the need of the evangelical church and fellowships in our country.
2.   To maintain a balanced and denominationally unbiased method / approach of distribution  of the funds.
3.   To ensure proper coordination with the goal of:
        a. Avoiding duplication of efforts.
        b. Ensuring consistency of efforts.

A. Ethiopian Christian Fellowship in Los Angeles:

    1. will be solely accountable for the collection and distribution of the funds,
    2. will be responsible to evaluate the programs and make final determination/decision as  to the eligibility for funding,
    3. will maintain separate accounting of the funds collected and distributed,
    4. will provide periodic reports to donors on financial and ministerial activities

B. Evangelical Churches Association of Ethiopia- Addis Ababa, Ethiopia:


    1. will help ECF identify the names of projects needing or worthy of such funding,
    2. will receive and channel funding as agreed with ECF toward the approved projects and
    3. will provide project activity reports to ECF so that such information will be passed on to  the donors on a periodic basis.
