The Unity conference was held on Saturday Oct 19 at Emmanuel Ethiopian Church and
on Sunday Oct 20 at Ethiopian Christian Fellowship Church (ECFC LA). The images below were taken at ECFC LA.

Ordination Ceremony of Pastor Truework Mesfin
Pastor Truework Mesfin who has stood by the people of God, first serving as associate pastor and then as acting Pastor over the last twelve years at ECFC LA was ordained Pastor on December 30, 2001

First day worship service at the new facility
First day worship services were held at the new facility on November 14, 1999, where over 900 were in attendance. What a glorious and blessed day this was!

"The LORD has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy. " Ps 126:3
ECFC LA closed escrow on its new facility at 3405 W. Pico Bl., Los Angeles on October 14, 1999. The complex has a main sanctuary with a capacity of 1000, a separate 400 people capacity auditorium, as well as several offices and class rooms for the youth. The facility also includes a small building that is rented to a Korean Christian Fellowship. We would like to thank the LORD for making this miracle that seemed impossible just a few months ago.

Scenes from ECFC LA's Interim Worship Facilities (August 15 - Nov 14 1999)
ECFC LA moved its worship services to an interim facility on August 15, 1999. A major revival conference was held the same weekend where Dr. Wodajeneh Meharene from Addis Ababa Muluwongel church, brother Endalkachew Sahle , Director of Youth for Christ, Ethiopia ministered alternately and Bethlehem Wolde (Bety) served in song worship. Over five hundred attended the Sunday worship service and were witness to this historic day. Below are some images at the interim facility.

Scenes from ECFC LA's 1999 Married Couple's Retreat
"They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.." Acts 2:42

As is the tradition at ECFC LA, the annual married couple's retreat was held on the Memorial Day weekend (May 29 - May 31, 1999) at the Forest Home Christian Center in the San Bernardino mountains. This year's invited guest speaker was Dr. Alemu Beeftu from Colorado Springs, Co. who presented a short workshop based on marriage and strengthening the family unit. The adults as well as the children had a memorable time. Below are some pictures depicting the scene.

March 28, 1999 Building Fund Raising Event at Culver Blvd location
God did a miracle at our church on March 28. More than $100,000 in cash was raised in a one time pledge towards purchasing our own place of worship. Additionally four cars and uncounted amount of precious jewelry was donated by the congregation.
